“We make the road by walking” is the topic for 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12 at Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation (GPUUC), 882 Sunset Avenue, Prescott.

How can our feet guide us when there is not even a map, much less a road? While it is understandable to be concerned for the future of liberal religion these days, opportunity often appears when times are hard. This week, the congregation will reflect on the ways in which the road that lies ahead for liberal faith traditions is the one we decide to walk. Following the Sunday morning service, there will be coffee, snacks and conversation at 11:30 a.m.

Granite Peak’s Seeds of Support collection for August is the Arizona Family Health Partnership (AFHP). Our speaker for August is Randy Thomas. Randy served with Youth With A Mission for 22 years. He has trained missionaries at the University of the Nations and has shared the gospel in over 50 nations. During his time with Youth With A Mission, Randy trained, mentored and released many women into ministry. He gets great satisfaction and joy from the fact that many of the women he has trained and served with have gone on to do much greater things for God than he feels he could have done himself. Some of the women he has released into ministry have gone on to be great women of God.

Randy is currently a local contractor and serves on the leadership team for missions at his local church. He and his wife of 41 years have 5 children and 8 grandchildren. Come and hear this gifted and anointed speaker who moves in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. God has given him a special Word just for us.
