Column: University of PA is rated by Playboy
HOLLYWOOD- Happy Tuesday, everybody, and God bless America.

Playboy rated the University of Pennsylvania America's top party school in September's Back to College issue by Hugh Hefner. The students can only dream of living like he's lived. Hugh Hefner's problem is that when he dies, very few people will say he's in a better place now.

Column: Hong Kong wants to be more like us

Column: Hey NFL! You got some 'splaining to do here
Is the NFL too violent? Hey, we all know that football is a rough sport. These are not ballerinas out there putting on a show. The players are big, burly guys who like to run into each other. But what's up with San Francisco when they played the Cardinals and were penalized over one hundred yards for unnecessary roughness, facemask pulling and taunting. What's next?

Column: Low-impact exercise isn't just for seniors
In the minds of some, low-impact workouts are only for seniors. That couldn't be further from the truth. Low-impact exercise can offer people of any age a way to keep fit when more intense exercise is not appropriate.

Column: Hospital employees regularly subjected to stressful situations
Television shows portray emergency rooms as dangerous places - patients high on drugs or involved in gang violence may be aggressive, agitated or unpredictable, and their family/friends/enemies may behave in similar ways. Doctors and hospital staff may be at risk as a result.

Clear the air: Make indoors more comfortable for allergy sufferers
Although the thought of sleeping with millions of dust mites - microscopic arachnids that feast on flakes of skin - is just plain gross, it's something most people can handle without worry. After all, our bodies are inhabited by multitudes of bacteria, to which we seldom give a thought.

Bees aren't the only pollinators you can attract
The dramatic loss of honeybees to changing land use, viruses and pesticides is alarming, and they are irreplaceable as pollinators. But you can somewhat offset their loss by attracting alternative pollinators, such as beetles, butterflies and moths, dragonflies, feral bees, wasps and flower flies.

Column: Illegal discharge of fireworks results in tragedy
Several times each year I write articles on the harm that may occur to our pets when they are subjected to loud noises. The articles typically focus on legally sanctioned noises arising from city-sponsored activities like concerts, rodeos, fireworks and parades as well as natural noises like thunder. My intent is to equip pet owners with information that could help protect pets during these raucous events.
