Senior Menus: March 11-15

Senior Menus for the week of Monday, March 11 through Friday, March 15:

Prescott Meals-on-Wheels serves from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at 1280 E. Rosser Street, Prescott; 445-7630. Menus subject to change.

Monday: Chicken and dumplings, carrots, Brussels sprouts, wheat bread, apricots, apple cinnamon crisp.

Tuesday: Roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, mixed veggies, spinach salad, wheat bread.

Wednesday: Pork carnitas tacos, Spanish rice, refried beans, lettuce and tomato, pineapple.

Thursday: Spaghetti and meatballs, Italian blend vegetables, mixed green salad, garlic bread, mixed fruit, pudding.

Friday: Corned beef and cabbage, red potatoes, carrots, wheat bread, fruit salad.

Prescott Valley Senior Nutrition Program serves from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 9360 E. Manzanita Circle, Prescott Valley; 772-3337, Menus subject to change.

Monday: Pork tacos, garden salad, salad bar, Spanish rice, Mexi-corn, fruit.

Tuesday: Hot open-face roast beef sandwich with gravy, salad bar, stuffing, steamed vegetables, fruit Jell-O.

Wednesday: Turkey and dumplings, garden salad, salad bar, steamed carrots, fruit compote.

Thursday: Spaghetti ad meat sauce, garden salad, salad bar, steamed vegetables, garlic bread, fruit, spumoni.

Friday: Baked fish, coleslaw, salad bar, skillet potatoes, sautéed vegetables, fruit Jell-O.

Chino Valley Senior Center Nutrition Program, 1021 W. Butterfield 636-9114 serves from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Menus subject to change.

Monday: Chili beans, baked potatoes, cornbread, pears.

Tuesday: Barbecue chicken, baked beans, peas and carrots, peanut butter, cookie.

Wednesday: Pork roast with cranberry sauce, baked potatoes, California blend, whole grain roll.

Thursday: Spaghetti and meatballs, Italian blend vegetables, garlic bread, fresh oranges.

Friday: Beer battered cod, brown rice, Capri vegetables, fruit salad.

Are these meals open to the paying public? On the surface they sound pretty good. I would like to try one or two meals to see just how good they might be.
