This week at the Y

Visit www.prescottymca.org for complete information regarding the YMCA's programs and activities.

Summer registration is ongoing. It's time to sign up for for camps, swim lessons and more.

Call the Y today to ask about half-day camps. Options include cheer and pom, variety dance, martial arts, leadership and more. Y member and community member rates apply.

Flag football registration is ongoing for coed kids ages 6-14. Practices began June 4 but it's not too late to sign up. Y member and community member rates apply.

A new Zumba class is being offered on Sundays at 11:30 a.m. Free to Y members, day fee applies for community members.

The Y hosts a free lunch program this summer 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays now through July 27 at the Y's Lindquist Family Park.

The Y offers first aid and CPR classes every month. The next available class is CPR on Wednesday, June 27, with first aid on July 18. Both classes begin at 6 p.m. There is a small fee for the certification. Contact the Y to register.

Sign up now for a two-hour cheer clinic led by the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders, open to kids 5-18. The clinic is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4. There is a small fee to participate and pre-registration is required.

The Y is hosting a group fitness certification class on Aug. 5. Contact the Y for pricing information and additional details.

Call or stop by to make an appointment for the Y's massage program. Prices are very reasonable and various types of massage are offered.

Meet in the Y gymnasium on Mondays from 5 to 7 p.m. for adult indoor soccer. Free for Y members; nominal fee for community members.

Join the Y, the City of Prescott Parks & Rec division and the Yavapai County Community Health Services department for TrekAbout, a local hiking club. Summer hikes are every Tuesday and Thursday morning beginning at 7 a.m. A nominal fee applies.

Child Watch is available 8:15 a.m. to noon Mondays-Fridays and 4 to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays for all Y members, providing on-site childcare while you exercise for a small fee.
