Letter: Great service at Prescott VA hospital

We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful V.A. hospital to serve our local veterans.

On Thursday evening my husband broke his foot and was in need of emergency services. The care extended by the staff was exemplary. The following employees deserve kudos: Erwina Ungos, D.O., Deb Rose, R.N., and Steve Fine, C.N.A. Not only were they professional, kind, and courteous, but had a great sense of humor which went a long way in helping my husband thru this ordeal. Smiles really help!

We appreciate all they did and continue to do. They are a credit to the Veterans Administration and to our whole community.

Kathryn Medoff

The letter to the editor expressing the care and caring veterans receive at the Northern AZ, Prescott VA, is one incident that occurs over and over each day, hour and minute. My father has been receiving care for nearly five years in CLC one and every day I am thankful for how respected and cared for he and the other veterans are treated. I wish all health care system were created with a mission that is I acted so well here and with care givers that share the values and vision of caring for those that served their country!

No No No - Government health care doesn't work ! Remember they get between you and your doctor. Death Panels ! Rationing ! Socialism ! And where is their profit ? After all if $$$ isn't the main motivator then what is ? Caring about people ? No this is all wrong. Privatize it all. I'm calling ALEC.

( The preceding was brought to you by Zig.E's alternate Republican ego. )

I have treated in a number of VA facilities, this is the only one that provided the kind and appropriate services. The Prescott VA is the exception not the norm...we are very lucky here.

I would like to add that I too have been very pleased with the service I have been getting from VA locally.
I just joined the ranks of disabled vets myself just over a year ago and I have been taken care of by many doctors in many locales over the years and the service for most has been so so.
The people that take care of us locally are outstanding.

We should all heap praise on our Prescott VA. The providers are the best and do their best to endure with all of the staffing cutbacks and lack of internal direction. All of those VA employees that come in contact with and serve the patients deserve the highest respect. The mismanagement by the VA Corporation is another matter. Remember, we're also dealing with Government mis-management in bonuses like the rest of the country. Kinda like IRS

I have had great treatment and have gotten to know a lot of great people at this VA! When they have not been able to handle my health condition they have referred me to the PHX VA where I have also received great care in a timely manner! Overall I'm really impressed with the care I have received over the past 7 years! With the large amount of patients they treat day in and day out they show true concern for your overall health! Great Job all of you. Thank -You!

We love Jeannette at the Blue Team as she is the most service oriented loving funny and enjoyable person as any. We just hope she stays there.

In the few years I've been going to the VA hospital, I have never been disapointed in experiencing the friendliness, humor and great service they provide. It is a very professionally run operation there, no pun intended.
