OTTAWA, Ontario - Carli Lloyd finally was able to express her creativity on field.

Aided by tweaks in the lineup, the 32-year-old midfielder was able to roam more Friday night, scoring for the United States in a 1-0 victory over China that sent the Americans to the semifinals of the Women's World Cup against Germany.

Competitive skeet shooting requires physical strength and an abundance of aptitudes - mental focus, timing, and accuracy among others - to fire a shotgun and shatter dish-shaped targets approximately 4-¼ inches in diameter zooming up to 60 miles per hour in different directions, heights, and distances - sometimes two at a time - as the shooter moves around eight stations aiming at 24 targets in a prescribed order.

Yavapai College and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's volleyball teams combined their efforts in the "Crosstown Battle Against Breast Cancer" to raise $3,580.53. On Wednesday this money was donated to the Breast Cancer Center at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott Valley.
