PRESCOTT VALLEY - The Arizona Sundogs will welcome four Olympians to the team's home opener Oct. 26.
The Olympians, all students at Arizona public universities, will be on hand to shake hands and meet with fans, the team announced at a Thursday press conference. The Sundogs, a minor-league affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes, enter their seventh season and will face the Missouri Mavericks Oct. 26 at Tim's Toyota Center.
The four Olympians participated n the London Games this past summer. They are Arizona State University student Kyle Alcorn, a steeplechaser; University of Arizona student Georganne Moline, who ran in the 400-meter hurdles; Northern Arizona University student David McNeill, who ran in the 5,000 meters representing Australia; and NAU student Diego Estrada, who took part in the 10,000 meters representing Mexico.
