Exhibition soccer match Saturday opens fall season, raises money
The Daily Courier

Firefighter Appreciation Night when the Yavapai College soccer team hosts Embry-Riddle's soccer team for an exhibition match this Saturday at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott will be free of charge for all fans.

Donations will be accepted for the Yavapai College Granite Mountain Hotshots Scholarship Fund, which will provide scholarships for the community college education needs of the children and spouses of the fallen firefighters from the Yarnell Hill fire this past June. Additionally, a 50/50 raffle will be conducted with the proceeds going to benefit the scholarship.

At halftime, all firefighters, currently serving and retired, will be recognized for their hard work and service to Yavapai County.
