Bradshaw Mountain High’s Max Miller returns a serve as his doubles partner William Waidelich waits at the net Monday. Miller and Waidelich, Bradshaw’s No. 1 doubles team, won their match 8-3 against Prescott.
Bradshaw Mountain High School's boys tennis team took Prescott High to task Monday, winning 8-1. BMHS coach Joe Borzello said this is their second time playing Prescott - and the second time winning 8-1.
Bradshaw's Max Miller, playing at No. 1, won 6-2, 6-4, and William Waidelich won 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 2 slot. They combined in doubles for a victory as well, 8-3.
Kyle Jewell, Bradshaw's No. 3 singles, lost 6-1, 2-6, 6-10, while No. 4 Austin Powell won 6-1, 6-0. Powell's twin brother, Hunter, also won - 6-1, 6-7, 10-7 at No. 5. Rounding out the singles, Daniel Schmeckler at No. 6 won 6-3, 6-3.
At No. 2 doubles, Jewell and Austin Powell won 8-1. And, at No. 3, Josh Miller and Joey Cilano paired for an 8-5 victory.

Bradshaw continues play today with the girls hosting PHS at 3:30 p.m. Borzello said Prescott's girls are ranked No. 4 in the state - "and it's time for an upset, I guarantee and upset."
On Wednesday, BMHS takes on Mingus with the boys at home and the girls traveling. Bradshaw's girls take on Flagstaff at home Thursday.
