Fighting for their playoff lives down the season's final stretch, the D-II No. 25 Bears were fighting just to hang on for the win Tuesday night in Prescott Valley.

The Bears led 18-7 after one period, and 30-15 at halftime. Their lead grew to 40-20 entering the fourth quarter.

But in the final frame, D-II No. 52 Moon Valley heated up to score 27 points and make a serious run late before Bradshaw was able to hang on.

"Just a wacky game," BMHS head coach Doug Beilfuss said afterward.

Senior Christian McKay led the effort with 13 points for Bradshaw. Senior Lucas Herman scored eight points and connected on 6-of-6 from the free throw line.

With four games left in the regular season, the Bears (15-8 overall, 10-4 in power point games) more than likely will have to win out to clinch a playoff spot.

They look for another win Thursday at home against Cottonwood Mingus Union. Game starts at 7 p.m.
