Apollo 35

It was all about the 'D' for the Badgers in this Tuesday night win in Glendale.

Though trailing 14-11 after one quarter, Prescott limited Apollo to just two points in the third quarter and nine points in fourth quarter to take control.

"We had an outstanding defensive ballgame tonight, especially in the second and third quarter," PHS head coach Adam Neely said. "Getting defensive stops and rebounding the basketball, which was the big difference."

Cameron Gilbert led the effort with 22 points, eight rebounds and six blocked shots for the Badgers. Jaran Hoover contributed 15 points and nine boards. Tommy McMahon's line for the night included seven points, seven rebounds and three steals.

Prescott (14-5 overall) improved to 10-1 in power point games this season.

Next up for the Badgers is a short trip north to take on Chino Valley this Thursday night.
