Obituary: Alfred M. "Al" Hartzell

Alfred M. "Al" Hartzell passed away Jan. 9, 2013, in Prescott, Ariz., at Good Samaritan Marley House Hospice after a long illness. He was born Feb. 5, 1950, in Hawthorne, Calif. to William and Mildred Hartzell.

I was working for KYCA when Al and Noreen both started there many years ago. They were not only good co-workers, but I considered them friends as well. Our paths separated over the years, but whenever I saw either of them from time to time, they were exceptionally friendly and genuine, as always.

We pray God's comfort and strength for Noreen and the family at this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Al. You were one of the genuinely nice guys I met in many years in broadcasting.
