He's another water-carrying member of ALEC. Corporate interest will always trump individual rights, as long as billionaire funded corporate lobby groups act in secret and have their legislative member introduce corporate written laws and right-wing suppression of voter rights, women's reproductive rights, racist stop and search anti-immigration laws, just to mention a few. These corporate written bills have the support of the other legislative members of ALEC. Almost all of our republican legislators are members of ALEC. More than any other state. So with people like Tobin in the Legislature, we do have the best legislature that money can buy.

If you don't think that is bad news for familes on a budget or small business, then why are regulated utility companies corporate members of ALEC, when the Arizona Constitution places the regulation of utility monopolies out of the hands of the legislature and into the hands of the Corporation Commission. Yet in spite of the Arizona Constitutional ban on any corporation to give anything of value to influence the legislature, they have by way of ALEC and in secret.

Sorry Andy, you chose to sell your soul to ALEC and are therefore unfit for public trust.

*We* are starting to right the ship? I'm sure you mean the 'royal we', Mr. Speaker, as I haven't seen you, as a politician, do much of *anything* regarding 'righting the ship' when it comes to our economy.
Keep voting for do-nothings, Yavapai. You want him, then you deserve him.

Article comment by: A wonderful choice!

Supports the pay-day loan industry, the breeding of $25,000 horses by rich ranchers (Sen Pearce's buddies) as a non-profit endeavor, and tells us that the League of Women Voters supports him (They do not support candidates). The epitome of a bought-and-paid-for politician.
