Thanksgiving Closures

Prescott Newspapers Inc. will be closed Thursday, Nov. 22, for the Thanksgiving holiday. If you do not receive your newspaper, please call 772-1212.

The following schools will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 21, through Friday, Nov. 23: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Yavapai College, Prescott College, Chino Valley Unified School District, Humboldt School District, Mayer School District and Prescott Unified School District.

NAU-Yavapai will be closed Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23.

Waste Management of Northern AZ, City Garbage Collection and Patriot Disposal will have a one-day delay.

The following businesses will be closed Thursday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23: City Water Department, Prescott City Hall, Prescott Public Library, Prescott Valley Public Library, Yavapai County offices and Prescott Valley City Hall.

Chino Valley City Hall will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 21-Friday, Nov. 23.

The following will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 22: post offices, Amtrust Bank, Bank of America, BMO Harris Bank, Chase Bank, Compass Bank, Country Bank, Foothills Bank, National Bank of Arizona, U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo, Arizona State Credit Union, Credit Union West, Prescott Federal Credit Union and Washington Federal Savings.

Why is the library closed on the day after Thanksgiving, or any other city observed holiday? Most people are off and many would go to the library if it were open. Someone "educate" me please!
