Dr. James Spurgeon and his team at Prescott Dental Center will host their first Dentistry From the Heart event Friday, Jan. 20, offering the residents of Prescott free dental care services.
Registration will open at 8 a.m. at Prescott Dental Center, 222 S. Summit Ave., Suite D, and patients will be seen until 2 p.m. Patients are encouraged to come early and will receive services on a first-come, first-served basis. Free dental services will be offered to patients 18 and older. Services include the choice of one filling, cleaning or extraction per patient.

Dentistry From the Heart is a registered non-profit organization that provides free dental work for people who need it. Dr. Vincent Monticciolo founded the organization as a means to give back to the community and address the growing number of people without dental insurance. In the past nine years, Dentistry From the Heart events have contributed more than $10 million in free dentistry and helped more than 50,000 patients across the country.
