Primavera students get Western heritage lesson at the Phippen Museum

Les Stukenberg/The Daily Courier
Colter Donovan, left, and Ivan Marriott get an up-close look at some of the historical guns on display as students from the Primavera School in Prescott visit the Phippen Museum on Highway 89 Tuesday morning.

Phippen Museum became more than just a building on a hill with a bunch of pictures in it Tuesday when third-, fourth- and fifth-graders from Primavera School came through its doors.

It became a classroom and opened their eyes to history as it is portrayed in art, along with artifacts from the distant past.
