Huge Yavapai Cup youth soccer tournament this weekend

The 19th annual Yavapai Cup youth soccer tournament arrives in the Prescott Valley, Chino Valley and Prescott area the weekends of April 5-7 for the boys and April 12-14 for the girls. Yavapai Soccer hosts the largest soccer tournament in the quad-city area, and it should be one of the largest soccer tournament in the state.

More than 185 teams are expected for the event bringing 7-to 18- year-old boys and girls. Teams are coming from across Arizona, as well as Nevada and California. Local teams from Prescott and Prescott Valley are adding to the competition.

The tournament is being played on 17 soccer fields in Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott.

Yavapai Soccer, a nonprofit youth sport organization operated by volunteers, offers a wide range of opportunities to boys and girls who are interested in playing soccer, from Prescott Valley and Prescott to Dewey-Humboldt and Mayer. More information is available at www.YavapaiSoccer.com.
