7/21/2013 6:00:00 AM Free hearing, vision loss support group starts July 24 in Prescott Valley
Jack Clevenger, an advocate for people with hearing loss, is leading a hearing and vision loss support group twice monthly at Grayson House in Prescott Valley. The Senior Peer Program, in partnership with NACOG (Area Agency on Aging), Grayson House and the Hearing Loss Association of America, is providing this support group free of charge.
Some of the topics the group will address include assertiveness vs. aggressiveness; alcohol/drug abuse and hearing loss; oral interpreting; coping strategies; and the sharing of personal experiences in relation to loss of hearing.
Anyone in the quad-city area and beyond is invited to attend this free support group meeting on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month beginning July 24 at Grayson House, 7509 E.
