PRESCOTT VALLEY - The Arizona State Library Archives and Public Records recently awarded a $30,000 grant to the Prescott Valley Public Library to pay for a digital media lab.
The lab will enable the public to edit and post an array of digital video, photo and film projects online to develop job skills, promote local businesses, complete school projects, and enhance their image in an interactive setting.
Library staff will modify the original virtual reality room to host the individual and group projects that are expected to run from September through June 2014. The projects will be conducted in partnership with Yavapai College-Thatcher Bohrman, Channel 15 on cable and the Sedona film school.
The lab will offer space, Apple computers, software, cameras, professional lighting, training for the public and educational video productions.
For information, contact Casey Van Haren, the library's circulation supervisor, at 759-3061. The library is at 7401 E. Civic Circle.
