Motorcycle event will raise funds for children's cancer research

The 8th annual Americans Motorcycle Club, Southwest, "Strike Against Children's Cancer Run" is Saturday, May 4. Sign in is from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Kmart parking lot, Highway 69 in Prescott Valley. Cost is $15 single and $20 double.

Run ends at Jackass Inn, 8156 E. Valley Road, Prescott Valley. Scheduled will be a 60/40 high low hand, 50/50 drawing, door prizes, raffle, music, food and drink.

All riders are welcome. Help support a good cause, helping children with cancer.

Not long ago I asked someone who is a member of the Americans MC about this event. They were unable to tell me what percentage of proceeds from this actually make it to the kids with cancer. In light of recent events around MCs it's important to Balance what they have to say with a grain of salt, especially when they are asking for charitable donations.
I hope someone with the organization can address this, but have my doubts since the person I spoke to was supposedly one of the organizers. Prove me wrong.
