Even though pets aren’t permitted to attend, Simon is still excited about the Waffle Brunch 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at CakeWorks Library Café. A portion of the proceeds from the breakfast will benefit United Animal Friends.

CakeWorks Library Café is sponsoring a Waffle Brunch to benefit United Animal Friends (UAF) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at the Prescott Valley Library, in the café at 7401 E Civic Circle.

The brunch will feature a waffle bar with assorted fillings and toppings and beverages. The cost is $8.50 for adults and $6.50 for seniors and children under 12. A portion of the proceeds will go to UAF to help care for animals in need.

Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling CakeWorks at 759-5509.

The fundraising event is the brainstorm of Arlene Allan, who owns and manages CakeWorks at the library.
