Dead Horse Park offers bike sessions, hikes in April
The Daily Courier

Dead Horse State Park next to Cottonwood is offering mountain biking workshops and nature walks throughout the weekends in April.

The Better Mountain Biking sessions take place from noon to about 4 p.m. every Saturday in April. The Nature Walks start at 9 a.m. on Sundays (April 7, 14 and 21) and last 1-2 hours.

Riders must wear helmets and complete an Acknowledgement of Risk Form. (This can be downloaded at and parents must sign for riders under 18 years old). They should also bring water and make sure their bikes are in good working order. Hikers need to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes, and a hat.

For more information, call Dead Horse Ranch State Park at 928-634-5283. The day-use fee of $7 per vehicle applies. There is a program fee of $5 per rider.
